About Us

Headteacher's Welcome

A warm welcome to the Children’s House. I’m very proud of the school we’re building. For over 50 years, the school has prioritised families and children, emphasising individualised learning. Now in 2024, we’ve grown onto 2 sites, with more than 100 pupils and have become known for nurturing children to become confident, creative independent thinkers.

Our ethos is based on high teacher-to-child ratios and small class sizes. This allows us to spend more time with each child, ensuring they get the maximum out of their critical early learning years. We have full-time SEN experts on site.

Teaching the expected curriculum and achieving excellence in exams is important (and our results are excellent) but we believe that learning has to be fun and engaging. With this in mind, we’ve developed Theme-based Learning throughout the school, tying together the traditional subjects, developing depth of understanding and inspiring stronger, cross-subject interest.

Sports, Outdoor time and after-school clubs play an important part of the day at both sites. We have weekly PE and swimming lessons. The upper school play football and rounders against other schools and has any number of extra-curricular activities ranging from Chess club to Spanish lessons, fencing or dance.

I’d welcome the opportunity to show you around the school, we believe that we’re developing something very special.
